Dear 2nd Grade Families,

My name is Lauren Reck and I am thrilled to be your child’s second grade teacher. Welcome to Room 17! I look forward to continuing with your child on his/her educational journey. For those of you who may not know me, please allow me to introduce myself -

I am the proud mother of two incredible girls, Grace and Paige. Grace, my nine year old, will be a 4th grade student at Creekside this year. Paige, who is two and half, spends the daytime hours at her own school and with her grandma. My husband, Jason, also works for Hartland schools, as the athletic director. Our family takes great pride in being a part of Hartland. I am very lucky to have such a wonderful family!

In addition to having a supportive family at home, I am happy to be part of the Creekside family. Within my classroom, I believe it is important to build a strong community by involving kids in classroom decisions, teaching responsibility, focusing on both social/emotional and academic skills, and providing clear and consistent expectations. My goal is to create a classroom of confident, curious, life-long learners.

I am looking forward to a fun-filled learning adventure this year. Come on, let’s get started!
