Farms Intermediate PTO Meeting Minutes-
Members Present: Mikki Cheney-Principal, Marcia Petersen, Tammy Ransdell, Cindie DeWolf, Renay MacLean, Kim Martenchik, Lisa Jagusch Bonnie Kussmaul, Tom Dumond.
Meeting BTO: 4:00 p.m.
Welcome and Intros: Directories were great. Thanks to Cindie DeWolf for the hard work. Minutes approved by Cindie DeWolf, seconded by Renay MacLean.
New Business: Yearbooks. End of January order forms will be going out. Photos are needed. Photos need to be on discs. Flag Football idea for end of the year….Promote healthy living.
PTO Requests: None.
Treasurer’s Report: $1,000 outstanding in returned checks. $35,000. Balance in the bank currently. $26,000 expected spending.
$80.00 invoice for refund with Spirit wear. Challenge Day has been paid. Still waiting on Non-profit paperwork-will email Denise Duncan. $300.year pay for accountant. Lisa will contact the accountant.
Principal’s Report: No Depac in December. 3rd Tuesday each month 9:30 a.m. Challenge Day is a community effort-Steve Livingway. March 15-17 3 days in a row. 7th graders Cindie will add link at website and Facebook in an effort to inform the community of this event.
President’s Report: Spirit Wear- Mrs. Cheney has heard only great feedback for spirit wear. Angie Lewis presented at the board meeting highlighting Farms. School improvement committee-monthly themes-feeling more of a connection with the kids. Assembly January 25th 10:00/11:00 Mills Family Anti-bullying Limo Rides-January 21st. 10:15-2:45 all day event. 50 students plus 2 friends each. Lock-in was successful- head phones and gym equipment will be purchased with the profits and character education packets.
Vice President: Renay MacLean thanks for all who helped at the Santa Shop. $1557.56 profit . Look into using the Dollar Store- locally. 5th grade Camp: Zipline may be eliminated this year or an extra cost for each kid. Needs to either let kids know that it won’t be available this year and what is replacing it…or try to negotiate to get it this year at no cost.
Secretary: Horseshoe area of the parking lot is a FIRE HAZARD area. NO PARKING there EVER! You can be ticketed if your car is parked there.
Publicity: If people want things posted on Facebook or website please email Cindie DeWolfe. Talk with Haaya regarding receiving information for sign ups etc to be sent to the PTO. Student Directories: All directories have been sent out. Negative feedback has not been received. $800. Estimated received for directory orders. Pay back office supply fund.
Old Business: Cindy Drafta brought the items purchased for 6th grade Math. A huge thank you from her.
Call to Membership: Tom Dumond discussed using caution with rewarding the kids with food items, i.e. icecream, candy, pizza parties, hotdogs, popsicles etc. Put together a binder that details each event and how it needs to be done.

WE ARE PROUD THAT OUR PTO WAS ABLE TO DONATE TO THIS ESSENTIAL PROGRAM THAT TOUCHES ALL OF THE 7TH GRADE STUDENTS EACH YEAR IN HARTLAND (NEXT YEAR OUR 6TH GRADERS WILL BE PARTICIPATING!)
