Farms Intermediate PTO Meeting Minutes-April 12, 2011

Members Present: Marcia Petersen, Tammy Ransdell, Lisa McIntyre, Mr. Pumford

Meeting BTO: 4:00 p.m.

Welcome and Intros: Short meeting today.

Reading/Approval of Minutes: Minutes approved by Marcia Petersen; seconded by Lisa McIntyre.

New Business: a. Spirit Wear round three! Will be two days only 4/19-4/20. Order forms are in the office.

b. Boxtops and VG’s money-keep collecting!

c. Popcorn and Play 60 Volunteers needed!

d. Requests for PTO support/Teacher’s Requests- The greater percentage of teachers still need to turn in receipts for their annual allotted $100. Receipts are due by June 1st please.

PTO Requests: Nothing submitted.

Treasurer’s Report: Balance on hand: $46,238.42 Still need to pay for 5th grade camp-$5500.00, 6th grade trip-$600.00, and Yearbooks-haven’t received amount.

Principal’s Report: Mr. Pumford presented.

5th Parent orientation- April 14 in the gym./ Youth Appreciation April 21./ LOCK-IN last one of the year Friday, April 29. Volunteers needed. i.e. sign in & out and pizza & pop./ Science Show Assembly; Yo-Yo Men 1st thru 3rd hours April 25./ VOTE May 3rd./ Teacher Appreciation week of May 2./ Spring Bookfair week of May 9./6th grade trip May 25./ Volunteers needed for Play60. Donations needed; healthy snacks and water.

President’s Report: Popcorn stand that was needed has been donated! Thanks to Michelle Ottis from Community Ed. J Popcorn Fridays Bonnie Kussmaul is popcorn Chair. Need to check with Lock-in Chair to see if they want to use the Popcorn machine for that day.

Vice President: Not present.

Secretary: Tammy asked if anyone knew the last date of band due to date that instruments need to be turned back in according to A & G Music before the last day of school June 10. Tammy will email Mr. Laibly to inquire. Tammy also inquired about the Smart Boards. Mr. Pumford confirmed that every teacher throughout the district will have one next school year.

Publicity: Not present.
